Portstewart Baptist and foresight

I just preached last Sunday at Portstewart Baptist. I thought it was great anyway! One of the elders said in a joke "only 200 complaints, Paul."
But what a fantastic facility they have. And what a tribute to those men and women who had the foresight to buy this property with a view to the future. The figures don't lie. Church attendence is down right across N.I. If we are going to reverse that trend it will mean at least that we have buildings that keep up with the needs of the 21C. Everything about the building says "we care about you!" Comfortable, lots of room and at the same time they have kept the old night club as a means of doing something different to Sunday services. There are holiday chalets, a football pitch and a view to die for.. and the people were welcoming, loving and very encouraging.
In the words of Paul the Apostle "Almost thou persuadest me to be a Baptist."
