Trawlermen and Superman abd Barley.

Went to see the latest Superman film. What a bore. But "The Wind that shakes the Barley," was compelling viewing. Not least because I had just been to Cork and they were all raving about it. My friend Tom Burke said that it should be complusery for anyone who wants to work in Ireland or understand the Irish. I cried!
Trawlermen in on BBC at 7.00 pm all this week. Coming from Peterhead, which boasts the largest fishing fleet in the British Isles, the programme follows the fortunes of three crews around for a 10 day fishing trip. The "Fruitful Bough," owned and maned by christians, catches way more than all the rest. Lord, let me catch a few more fish.
