Living the Dream.

Just started a new series entitled Living the Dream based on the life of Joseph. It's really about us tapping into God's dreams for our lives. But there is a world of difference between a biblical deam and a western dream. Often people confuse the two...even in the church. One is about owning more, moving up,driving the Rolls, power and wealth. The other is about catching God's heart for people, His Church and for changing soceity. Now God gave Joseph power and money but it was because he would use these things to live the biblical dream.
The biblical dream looks like Jesus...don't confuse the two.

Part of my dream is to know the abundance, freedom, rest & peace that God has promised in his word for his people. This ultimately is all about knowing Him, being able to partake of His nature and escape the corruption in this world. After over 20 years I feel I'm only just starting. Instead of feeding on the meat of the Word I still am on milk. Poor me eh. Well, I've no one to blame but myself. How do I move on from this desert place. Teachers tell me we have to go through these things, testing of faith and all that, and I agree, I can only try to walk in obediance and hope to know HIm in the struggle. Although it seems He's a million miles away, so my feeling tell me, the work says He's right with me all the way. Feelings are a pain in the butt except when we can sence and feel the presence of God, a feeling that I can't possible describe, it's too wonderful, just doesn't happen enough for me. I could go on but I won't, and if you think after reading thia, "that poor fellow needs help", well, you'd be right. There are better days to come, hallelujah !!
