Creation
I think evolution is major problem to Christians. It is in Genesis that we find some things which determine our behaviour.
Marriage, sexuality, the fall, salvation. If the literal first Adam was not our Federal head in creation then Christ cannot be the last Adam and thus be the one who procured salvation for all.
The implications are vast for humanity and for the church.
I'm happy to hear what Christians have to say about evolution positive and negative.

This is so important for today's church and I am really encouraged by what you said in your post. I think that if you start with the NT and work backwards, interpreting and unpicking the OT with the guidance of the Holy Spirit then it is easier to put the whole message together. Jesus as the second Adam is virtually bullet-proof. Paul (the other NT one...) set it all out quite clearly in Rom. 5 and it takes quite a lot of "wriggling" for that fish to get off the hook. What the world and science thinks remains a secondary issue for me.
