God's Timing of Creation Events

There have been many differing opinions as to HOW God created the earth and HOW long it took Him. Many believe that the days of creation were age-days and that the earth is of a great age. Others believe that the days are 1000 year days.
Some [like me] believe that the earth is young and that the days spoken of were 24 hour days.
There are those who allow a great period of time before those 6 days of creation. [gap theory]
There are those who think the creation story was revealed to Moses in 6 days but the actual creation itself was of unspecified time. There is another group of Christians who accept evolution as the means by which God created the earth while accepting no part of the theory which is in contradiction to scripture.
Whatever one you believe, I think there are 3 things to remember; 1 It was God who did the creating. 2 The events of Genesis correlate with the findings of science; the timing is a different matter. 3 The Bible is the Word of God.
