There is a first time for everything.

It happens to us all I suppose. Getting older that is.
I did a baby dedication yesterday morning. When I started doing them I was often younger than the parents. Then I was more often older than the parents. Then I was dedicating children whose parents I had married or even dedicated the parents when they were children. It had to happen one day. I was dedicating a baby, Sam, and I was older than the grandparents!!
On Saturday night I attended BlueTree's launch of their new CD. I remember the day when some of them were born.{Great night and wonderful album]
Sunday night a girl from CFC preached a stonking message on prayer.
Am I about to leave planet earth? Am I depressed? NO. When I see the people coming up and I see their dedication and gift,I rejoice,for the future is safe.
Thank God they are stepping into something earlier than I did. Some of them have an ability and gift that is way beyond where I was at their age.
It's about those coming behind being able to stand on the shoulders of those who have gone before and not having to go round the same old ground.
I'm not shuffling off just yet but the best legacy I can leave is to keep on going and finishing well.
