Ramblings of a Rockin’ Rev

It was heresy then and it still is!

As early as the middle of the first century false doctrines plagued the Church. Particularly in his letters to Timothy, Paul warned the church against those who have a form of godliness but denying the power. They diminished the gospel records by calling into question the miracles, the Virgin Birth, the Resurrection and the Divinity of Christ.
It sounds cool; "something doesn't have to be true in order to have truth in it." What the heck does that mean? Either it's true or it's not. And if that bit isn't true what about all the rest?
It used to called Liberalism but now goes under the title of Progressive Christianity.
What about personal salvation, faith in a risen Christ and eternal life?
What exactly does this rubbish have to offer anyone? It will end in tears.
Paul's instruction is clear: have nothing to do with those who propagate such error!
