There is a world of difference between some people experimenting with new models of church and those who deny the Virgin Birth and the Resurrection.
One can be healthy and reach more people with the good news. The other is a sure fire way to send people to Hell.
It is old news and will never bring life.

And exactly what difference does having a literal or non-literal belief in the virgin birth/resurrection make to the example and teaching of Jesus???? We are not saved by our differing beliefs but by the grace of the Christ despite our errant/erring/arrogant/misconceived/etc etc. beliefs!!!

Totally agree Shannon! I think people have become hooked on the theology that has been forged and fought over for many years. The theology is just the theology. The seductive call of Jesus to follow him, and take on his yoke, seems to me to be radically different from the theological garble that most of us have been asked to swallow.
