Please return to sanity.
Maintaining a balance between the restoration of a fallen brother and correcting wrong doctrine is a tight rope. You want to restore them gently but at the same time warn others of falling into the same pit so you have to draw attention to some difficult issues.
If I have used immoderate language in doing this I unreservedly apologise. I suppose when you are a shepherd and you see the flock, hurt, mislead and God's honour sullied you react.
Paul and Peter used pretty strong language when pointing out error but then they are them and I'm me and we all stand accountable for what we say and do and who we endorse.
Sometimes saying nothing is the best policy but staying on the tightrope for long periods is difficult and if you try to go both ways you are really in trouble!

Paul, you're a great guy and whilst I might not agree with you on everything, I admire you for your honesty and openess. It's hard for those of us who don't run a large Belfast based Church to appreciate the tight rope you walk. Please try to be gracious with us. I know we all have the same goal and that's to see Jesus glorified in His church. (still think you should have gone to Lakeland though!! :0)

all good stuff Paul, the word I have really felt is discernment, I don't think a lot of these US leaders exhibited much of it.
