To care for the very young children within CFC and provide a safe, secure and loving environment which will stimulate them and in which their parents can have confidence

To show the love of God to the under 3's by the quality of our care. To show the love of God to their parents by the environment we create for their children

PLAY GANG


Where?

Ark Room

For Pre-schoolers (3-4 years approximately)

What Happens at Playgang?
Each week a team of at least four leaders are involved leading a programme which includes freeplay, Bible stories, songs, colouring in, jigsaws and so on. There is a craft activity related to the week's theme and a juice and biscuits break.

Aim

To provide an environment where pre-schoolers are happy to spend time on Sunday, and in which they will grow spiritually, socially and emotionally.

Objectives

To introduce and reaffirm basic Christian concepts to the children - God knows all about us, He made us, He loves us etc. To provide a loving atmosphere of caring and sharing among leaders and children, and to cultivate a constant awareness of Jesus among us in all we do.

What happens at Kidzclub?

A huge variety of activities including, worship, memory verses, bible stories, craft, juice and biscuits in large group and small class settings.

Vision & Aim

To enable children to develop a personal relationship with God and to equip them to take the Christian faith and values into their schools, families and society as a whole.

We Need Leaders Who...

Love children and long to see them reached and
brought into the Kingdom of God.

Are prepared to work as part of a team and are prepared to try new thing.

MOPS

For Pre-school children and their Mothers
  MOPS provides a caring environment for   mothers of babies pre-schoolers which promotes   the development of friendships, creativity and   support.

What happens at MOPS?

Breakfast
Interesting talk on some aspect of child rearing
Discussion groups based on talk
Crafts (once a month)
Fun, safe childcare

This is a time for Mothers who spend most of their day surrounded totally by kids It is an opportunity to have social contact and lots of “chat” with other Mums over breakfast and then take part in an interesting talk and time of discussion on some practical aspect of childrearing.

Meanwhile the children have lots of fun playing with a good variety of toys such as duplo, jigsaws, books, kitchen corner, ride on toys and many more.

The children are well looked after by vetted Mops carers.

To show God’s love in a practical way. To provide a safe, caring environment for carers and children to come to and have plenty of social interaction and lots of fun playing.

We need leaders who ...

Like children and are interested in them as individuals. Can tell stories, play games, do crafts - or who are willing to learn to do these things!

Aims

To hand on God's call to the next generation at any early age. To work with the children as a family to teach them they are part of the Church and God has a plan for their lives. To see them happy, enjoying themselves, and secure with a team of leaders who express love and care for them.

What happens at Junior Supergang?

Bible teaching, using various formats - stories, flannel graph, drama, quizzes, memory verses, games, videos, activity sheets, crafts and praise. The leaders seek to share the reality of their own relationship with God with the children - and in turn learn from what God is doing in their lives

 

SENIOR SUPERGANG

For Primary 3, 4 and 5

We need leaders who ...

Love and enjoy children, who have vision for their growth - especially spiritually.
Who are willing to learn new skills and generally be part of a vibrant and inventive team.

Vision and Aims

To lay Kingdom foundations and principles in the lives of the children in a holistic way - mentally, spiritually, physically and emotionally, enabling them to participate in the overall Church vision. Introduce / develop personal and real relationship with God. Help them find God's calling on their lives and their place in God's Kingdom. Help them develop inter-personal skills and become fully integrated members of Church and society.

What happens at Supergang?

A really varied programme with lots of spiritual input - through bible teaching, memory verses and discussions, using a variety of means - talks, quizzes, games, drama, worship, worksheets and group times and also “social nights” with games tournaments, video’s & trips to the pantomime etc.

What happens at Powerhouse?

By the time the children reach P6 and P7 we feel it is time to introduce them to the cell model of church. The children meet in houses like adult cells, but their programme, along with the normal cell group activities (i.e. warmer, word, worship, and witness), can include, drama, talks, games, memory verses, with a weekend and social nights scattered throughout the year!
