As part of our call to impact Belfast, Ireland and the nations, CFC is directly involved in a number of social action projects and in association with some others.
Oasis Caring in Action is at the forefront of community development in Belfast. Situated in Inner East Belfast, Oasis runs a number of projects and training programmes:
Young Connection
Playgroup - a daily morning playgroup for pre school children. Free places available
After Schools Club - supporting working parents of primary school children
Summer Scheme - 3 weeks of fun filled activity time
Creative Crosslinks - an opportunity for young people to work on cross community projects exploring art, dance and drama
Social Enterprises
Fair Trade Shop. This was established to recognise the need to support workers in developing countries.
Retog Shop - providing good quality children's clothing at affordable prices
Coffee Shop. This is the hub of the Oasis Centre and is open daily between 09:30 and 15:30. In addition to course participants and other visitors, the coffee shop is popular with the community and is about to undergo complete refurbishment.
Community Support
Imago - a befriending scheme to help people suffering from mental ill health
Good Neighbourhood Project - a befriending service for older people and those with a disability in Inner East Belfast

Empowering People
Worktrack - an employment programme offering those who are unemployed the opportunity to work whilst building their skills and confidence
Training - delivering programmes in a variety of areas including Personal Development, Craft courses, NVQs and OCN accredited courses.
IT Training - for all skill levels from beginners to advanced including CLAIT, ECDL and MCP
First Steps - a project promoting life long learning helping people back into training and / or employment.

Holy Land Trek – Israel 2008 – If you are looking for a new challenge then join Oasis Caring in Action’s first trek in November 2008. Registration fee £250, minimum sponsorship £2,500.
