All of the activities that take place in Christian Fellowship Church throughout the week; the children’s ministry, the youth work, Cells, Teaching, “Source”, Sunday Services, our purpose is that all of these will be acts of worship to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Indeed, our desire is that the life of the church would be a living sacrifice to God, just in the same way that our individual lives should become the “living sacrifices” that the Apostle Paul encouraged us all to be.

But beyond this fundamental, God has seen fit to grace us in the specific area of music ministry at CFC. The songs that have been written and sung within the walls of this Belfast city church, songs often sung in times of great trouble and sorrow, have somehow resonated with God’s people throughout the world. Perhaps it is the land from which the songs have arisen, perhaps it is the circumstances that have surrounded the writing of these songs, perhaps it is the Celtic flavour of some of the music or the hearts of the men and women that lead and partake in the worship in the Church. Whatever it is in the songs and music that He has used to touch hearts of men and women all over the world, it is surely only because of His grace and mercy that He has done so.

Revival In Belfast

In 1999 Integrity Music came to Belfast to record a CD that became known as “Revival in Belfast ”. It featured the songs of Robin Mark, and the voices of the congregation gathered in our 400 seater church on the Holywood Road in the east of the city. This CD has become one of the world's best selling church based worship CDs ever produced and is available to purchase on this site. Robin’s follow up CD, “Come Heal this Land”, was recorded at St Patrick’s Cathedral in Armagh . Armagh is the ecclesiastical capital of Ireland and the site of the cathedral is thought to be the very spot that St Patrick established his ministry. The historic and dynamic occasion is captured on the CD. Recently a third CD has been produced called “Revival in Belfast 2”. This recording took place, once again, within the sanctuary in CFC when some 500 worshippers squeezed in to the church and joined their hearts in praise and worship. This further expression of the worship unique to this church is fast becoming another best selling album and includes some of Robin’s new songs of worship alongside others written and composed by the worship teams in CFC.

Worship at CFC

In his role as Director of Worship at CFC, Robin is ably supported and assisted by the other worship leaders in CFC, gifted men and women in there own right. Terry Koch, who has led worship at CFC from the days when it met as a small fellowship in one of the local Leisure Centres (gymnasia) in Belfast . Marie Lacey, whose ministry to women at conferences and gatherings, is now known throughout Ireland , Europe and the USA . Some of Marie’s uniquely inspiring worship is captured on her CD “Daughters,” also recorded at CFC, and featured on the sales site . Roo Stewart leads another team and also works tirelessly with the children’s worship teams in our Kids Club on Sundays when hundreds of under 12’s gather for worship. We’re also pleased to have Johnny Parks and team, currently featuring in worship conferences and concerts in the US and a former praise leader in the monthly “Mannafest” youth meetings in Belfast , as a regular leader. A new youth band has recently been formed bringing another cutting edge to the ministry and this year we have the first worship interns at CFC, spending nine months in the various church music ministries to learn and grow in their own giftings as worship leaders and musicians. In all around 70 musicians and singers form 7 worship teams serving the church on Sundays and throughout the week.

The teams rotate Sunday services bringing a variation in style and format to the worship experience of the church.

Worship is at
the very core
of everything
that we do
in Christian Fellowship
Church.

Whatever the theme,
the style, the rhythm or the form, one purpose
remains uppermost.

To praise and worship
the living God with all of our hearts, with all
of our strength, and with all of our souls and spirits.
