Worship Band Rehearsals - open viewing

Rehearsal techniques that display Band and Team dynamics hopefully will be observed on open viewing nights that our worship bands have agreed to.

Johnny Parks has kindly agreed to open up his rehearsal on Wednesday 10th June for anyone to come along and watch the band rehearse. Also, his sound engineer, Ray will be there to display set up, sound checking and operations during a rehearsal. This is an opportunity for anyone to come along to observe one band leader’s approach to these techniques. Just turn up on the night. Details about these training nights will be on the announcements sheet.

Worship Team Dynamics

Through his experience as a qualified traner and presenter, Johnny Parks looks at team dynamics in a very relaxed yet transforming way. Worship teams, in particular, benefit from this training in CFC.

Worship Band Dynamics

This is a subject that is presented under four headings:

- the experienced worship band

Theory 3

Software Workshops

Software

REASON
Reason is a music software package used by keyboard players. It allows you to connect many devices (sound modules) to any keyboard using a laptop. This software is very useful for keyboard players who tour.
In CFC, we present a workshop at an entry level for those interested. Ian Jordan delivers the workshop having used Reason for many years and is an highly experienced in using this software.

SIBELIUS
Sibelius is another music software package that is used in CFC to notate music. It has proved invaluable when creating music for our orchestra, choir and brass ensemble.  Karen Cruise introduces this software to people who are interested in getting involved in notating music for church.  A basic knowledge of music notation is necessary.
